This is basically changing the serial number of the phone = not gooood. I can tell you that IF this was CDMA all our phones would be kicked off the network already. The only thing is we have to worry if they do see too many 00000000 IMEI and decide to block it but I doubt it because if this method is going around on da interwebz, then they never bothered with it. Now 2 things,ġ) no one should have an IMEI with 00000000, BUT all carriers in Canada DO NOT block ANY IMEI unless it was stolen from the Carrier depots/ stores / Apple stores.Ģ) I need to also verify if this method does change the IMEI or just masks it, meaning it still sends the original IMEI when you make a call. ĭo the carriers in Canada even care about IMEI's?
